Rachel Smith, LMFT, LPC
Rachel received her BS Degree from Oklahoma State University. She received her Masters of Behavioral Sciences Degree from Cameron University in 1990. Rachel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor with 17 years of clinical experience. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and is a National Board Certified Counselor. Rachel is also an approved Supervisor for Licensed Professional Counseling and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy.

"My training, therefore my approach to therapy, is cognitive restructuring and behavioral modification. I feel that the establishment of a trusting therapist/client relationship is the most important component in successful therapy. I utilize cognitive restructuring to change old, destructive beliefs. Additionally, I use behavior modification to help move a client toward his or her goals in a collaborative fashion. Lastly, I believe that a counseling experience should be a place for an individual to explore the emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and spiritual aspects of life and move towards changing those that are not productive."

Rachel has been married to Don Smith for 36 years. They have two married daughters. Lea Anne works for Campus Crusade for Christ, Laura is an Internal Medicine / Pediatric Physician. Rachel and Don are members of First Baptist Church in Lawton. Rachel’s favorite pastime is gardening.
